Mr.Kazuo Matsui [captain] / Rakuten Eagles
Thank you very much for your constant and warm support. We always feel empowered by your passionate cheers. Two years ago the earthquake brought a great damage to the Miaygi Prefecture in the Tohoku and North Kanto region. The road to recovery is still far away and it will take a lot of time from now. I believe that the only way for us to return the favor to all supporters is through winning many victories and becoming champions. We are going to aim for victories and give our best so that everyone feels empowered. Let’s fight together!
Mr.Takahito Soma [co-captain] / Vissel Kobe
I think there are still a lot of time and efforts needed for the full reconstruction from the earthquake. The memories from the disaster must not fade away, and as a team based in the same city where it occurred, we are going to continue to collaborate on various aspects. We would like to continue giving hope and courage to the kids by showing our complete dedication.
Takayuki Yoshida / Vissel Kobe
Thanks to the support and efforts of so many people the city of Kobe was fully recovered after the damages it suffered during the Great Hanshin Earthquake. I believe that now is our turn to return the favor we received by so many people. We want to make everybody feel better - even if it’s a little - by giving everything we can on the pitch.
Hiroyuki Komoto / Vissel Kobe
Two years have passed since the occurrence of the events unparalleled in history. Many times, I have received courage and motivation just by observing how the people from Tohoku have raised against the challenges and firmly faced forward. It’s probably difficult to personally help them from the far-distanced Kobe. Nevertheless, I have decided to show my utmost performance and give everything at my soccer games in order to support the people affected by the disaster.
[captain of Kobe Vissel, native of Kobe and survivor of the Great Hanshin Earthquake]
Teppei / Rakuten Eagles
It’s been two years since the disaster, but there are still many people being forced to live in terrible conditions. As a member of a sports team with its head office in Miyagi Prefecture, I and everyone else pledge to continue doing everything we can to support the reconstruction of Tohoku. More than anything, I want to inspire passion in everyone in our region by winning matches. Let’s keep working together for Tohoku!
